Fieldnotes from Maker
This zine is an extension of Fieldnotes from Maker—a collaborative project by Neasden Control Centre and 51 Studio that explores place, folklore and design through storytelling and experimental print.
Created alongside the exhibition at The Garrison Gallery on Maker Heights, the zine gathers the full set of texts and visual ideas from the project into a single, collectable format. It features fragments of invented folklore—short, atmospheric pieces that hint at strange weather, silent rituals, and half-remembered histories, all rooted in the landscape of Maker.
Designed with the same graphic language as the exhibition—abstract forms, expressive colour, and typographic experimentation—the zine offers a quieter, more intimate way to experience the work. Less a catalogue, more a field guide to a place that never quite existed.
